Terms of Service — Secret Hitler Discord Bot

Welcome to the Secret Hitler Discord Bot. We are committed to maintaining a respectful, engaging, and inclusive environment. Any violation of the rules outlined below may result in a ban. These rules cover the most common scenarios but are not exhaustive. Any inappropriate usage of Secret Hitler not explicitly mentioned here will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. By using the Secret Hitler Discord bot (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“TOS”). If you do not agree, do not use the bot. These TOS govern your use of the bot within Discord servers and DMs where the bot is invited.
These rules apply to all users who interact with the bot: hosts, players, spectators, and server administrators that install or configure the bot. Server owners are responsible for how the bot is used on their servers.
3.1 Alternate Accounts (Alting)
Creating, using, or managing multiple accounts to gain advantage, evade sanctions, or manipulate gameplay or rewards is prohibited.
3.2 Account Sharing
Sharing access (credentials, phone numbers, or email) or letting others play using your account is not allowed. Account sharing that results in unfair advantage will be treated as a rules violation.
3.3 Impersonation
Pretending to be other players, server staff, or bot maintainers (including copying usernames, avatars, or using misleading identifiers) is forbidden.
The integrity of matches matters. Any attempt to cheat, exploit, or otherwise gain unfair advantage will lead to penalties, up to and including permanent bans. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Using multiple accounts to influence a match or claims about game state.
- Manipulating game state via bugs, API manipulation, or altered clients.
- Coordinating with players outside of the official game channels in ways that break the intended play mechanics.
If you discover a bug, do not exploit it — report it immediately (see Section 6).
All usernames, avatars, messages sent to the bot, and community content must comply with Discord’s Community Guidelines and be appropriate for a general audience. Content that is hateful, harassing, sexual, or violent may result in immediate action.
If you find a bug that affects gameplay, security, or user data, please report it promptly via the support server. Do not publicly disclose exploits before reporting — responsible disclosure helps protect other users.
Promoting other bots, servers, or services using the bot’s channels or commands without explicit permission from the server staff is not allowed. Use the server’s designated channels for advertising if permitted by the server owner.
Moderators (bot maintainers and server admins) may warn, mute, kick, or ban users who violate these TOS. Enforcement decisions are at the discretion of server owners and the bot maintainer; we aim to be fair and consistent.
If you believe you were unfairly penalized, contact [email protected] with details and any evidence to request review. Appeals will be reviewed in good faith but are not guaranteed to result in reversal.
The bot may interact with third-party services (hosting providers, analytics tools, etc.). We do not share personal user data with third parties except as required for operation (e.g., logging user IDs for stats) or when compelled by law.

The bot is provided “as is” and for entertainment purposes. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost revenue, or other losses arising from use of the bot. Use at your own risk.
We may update these TOS occasionally. Updated terms take effect when posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use after updates means you accept the new terms.
